How to remodel folded glasses

Glasses can be bent in several ways. People dropped it, accidentally sat on it and the children took it. Sometimes people fall asleep unconsciously with their glasses and finally roll over. Whatever the cause, the good news is that fixing crooked glasses is usually not too complicated. It is always better to take glasses to professionals and fix them, but they can also be straightened out at home if a problem occurs.

The most important thing to remember when trying to straighten your glasses is not to force him to be fit. Bending it back should always be done carefully so it doesn't break again. Broken lenses are far more expensive to repair than only folded. Be sure not to over-press or use quick and sudden movements. If it's not clear how they should be bent to straighten it, place the glasses on a table or other flat surface. The side in the air must be folded down. Most of the time, pressure must be applied to the nose piece.

The method for working with metal glasses is different from flexible plastic. For metal frames, use soft pliers whose ends are covered in plastic. Place the cloth over the glasses to prevent scratches or damage. Use the pliers on the top of the fabric. Place them where the frame is bent, and put the glasses back gently. Remove the cloth to see if it is necessary to straighten the glasses and repeat the process if necessary.

It is not easy to straighten the plastic frame, because it cannot be bent back into the correct shape. Heat must be applied to straighten the glass without breaking it and keeping it straight. One option is to expose the glass to hot steam. Dry well with microfiber cloth. Then, gently bend the frame to the right shape while still warm.

Another method, which is generally considered better, is heating a plastic cup in hot sand before trying to overhaul it. Professionals use heated sandboxes to straighten plastic frames. Obviously, applying too much heat to the plastic will melt it and can damage the frame. Be careful with the heating method used, you should still use one of these two options. Glasses must be able to withstand enough heat to straighten it, but be careful not to overheat.

Folded glasses can also be brought to a professional to be straightened. Most places will make small repairs like this for free if they buy glasses. When it is not possible to go back to where the glasses were purchased for any reason, different retailers must be able to straighten it out for a small fee. This might be the best choice, especially if the glasses are too bent or if you are nervous trying to fix it yourself.
